What's a Membership?

Ok so you've joined Club Penguin, that means your a member right? Wrong. Membership is an extra option in Club Penguin that will allow you to do cool things like buy clothes, get into backstage rooms at parties, decorate you igloo and buy heaps of puffles.

So why isn't everyone a member? Well there's a catch, to be a member you have to pay. Seem unfair? Well think about it this way; Club Penguin is run by a team of people who make new rooms, decorate the place for parties and keep Club Penguin running smoothly. Now these people need to get paid and there are two ways to do this, they can either fill up Club Penguin with heaps of advertisements or they can keep some special things in Club Penguin for people who pay.

Should I Become a Member?

If you simply can't survive without having an awesome outfit and a really cool igloo, then you might find you enjoy Club penguin better when you have a membership. But if showing off all your cool stuff to your friends isn't such a biggy there's no need to get one. There are heaps of penguins who play Club Penguin without memberships, I'm one of them and even I have a pretty cool outfit. Club Penguin gives out free clothing items at parties, so you won't be totally nude, and if you want a couple clothing items there's always the Treasure Book.

Becoming a member is totally up to you, everyone is equal on Club Penguin and becoming a member doesn't make you any better than anyone else. But if you want to experience Club Penguin to the max, maybe a membership is for you.
